The arch Brandenburgertor, built 1778 through 1791, which has been the symbol of the union of the German Kingdom and its victories through the centuries, was the image of publicity for the cultural event that was realized by the city of Berlin.
On the top of the monument there is a four-in-hand, representing victory that was annexed to the principal arch in 1793. Many years later, with the Soviet invasion, the irony of history changed things and this came to be the symbol of the divided Germany in east and west, since it was not accessible for both due to the building of the famous wall of Berlin on part of the Soviets. With the fall of the Berlin wall in 1989, it became the principal symbol of the German union.
For publicity, the four-in-hand of Krishna and Arjuna, was placed instead of the traditional one, giving it a true sense of victory; the victory of the universal love and the union in dedication (Bhakti) in the absolute centre, Krishna, the emporium of infinite beauty and sweetness, as is described in Bhagavad Gita.
We are happy to see how Bhagavad Gita and Lord Krishna achieved such fame in the world, so that a govern uses its national symbol to offer Him respect.
The whole cuty was decorated with giant posters with this image, inclusive the principal square Alexander Platz, where one of those posters, but much bigger, of more than 5 metres of width and height, was just an image of Krishna and Arjuna over the Brandenburgertor. The sankirtan was a joy for the devotees in front of this transcendental presence.
The devotees of Vrinda participated during this cultural week making concerts, bhajans and harinam to many persons at the different cultural presentations that took place.
("Wherever there is Krishna, the master of all mystics, and wherever there is Arjuna, the supreme archer, there will also certainly be opulence, victory, extraordinary power, and morality. That is my opinion.")
