The weekend on 16-18 of December, we had a retreat for devotees and friends in the temple in São Paulo. It was very beautiful, a nice family atmosphere. There were workshops of meditation and classes with the topic: “The Vaisnvava Compromise”, by Sripad B.V. Puri Maharaj.

We started with a conference about Ayurveda, and it ended with the Sunday Feast with kirtans, bhajans, preaching, Prasadam and interchange of presents among all who came to the festival.

What was emphasized was first of all the responsibility of the devotees in front of the society and also the Vaisnava position in front of Christianity. We also talked much about the projects for next year, especially about the lands which Sripad B.V.Puri Maharaj is getting in Minas Gerais.

Maharaj coordinated the preaching and the devotees helped to keep everything clean and with a good consciousness of service. We specially want to mention the participation of Mother Marisa, the mother of our dear spiritual sister Seva Kunja Devi Dasi. She was so inspired that in the end of the event she did not want to go.
