All glories to Srila Prabhupada! All glories to Srila Atulananda Acarya. All glories to Eco Truly Park and its Yoga monastery.
The sannyasi, who is always attentive, who does not refuse, who forgives, who defends; this is the true sannyasi who is the friend of everyone, being beyond varnasrama.
vanca kalpa tarubyas ca

I have always emphasized the importance of the refuges. For me the word refuge is much more than what is transmitted by sound; refuge is something extraordinary, it is so nice that when one comes there one finds the place where one can dedicate ones energies for the rest of the life, to grow spiritually and feel to have a new challenge every day to advance spiritually. A refuge is not just a roof. It is said that the life without a spiritual master is like a nice house without a roof. Thus, to not have a refuge, a life without refuge, is a life that has no goal, but despair.
Therefore, a Vaisnava refuge is a place where everyone are pillars in the project and where others also are giving everything for the cause so that everyone can participate. A refuge is not an elite place, but a place where everyone gives everything of themselves, are loving, open the door in their house and of their heart and their administration for all those who want to be a part of it in a spiritual democracy way. Not demoniocracy of mixed interests, no, transcendental democracy where the opinion of the individual is not the most important. The important is the will of Krishna, and that everyone can participate to decide what is the will of Krishna, how we are going to get forward and manage that out temple may be known as the best refuge, the cleanest, good prasadam, good tries, very loving. The best refuge that exists on the planet should be my temple with your help.
Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakur said, that one becomes member of a spiritual community to improve it, not expecting to find everything perfect and only hope to be able to use this perfection. No, I have to be a part of the solution, because there are problems and will always be, no matter where we want to look. Then, a refuge is a place where a person is accepted with good will and with certain appreciated behaviours to participate and even give constructive critics for the development of the community. This is a refuge. Refuge is not just 'fill my stomach under a roof'. This is called slavery, because even the slaves have their stomachs filled under a roof. So a refuge is something very demanding, a kind of a most excellent coexistence. It is the most difficult that exists, because the false egos are always trying to generate elites where there is not permitted the young to contribute and grow and so many other problems. But this is not Krishna consciousness, this is a oligarchic system by the well known, where a few families dominate an entire nation.
Krishna consciousness is a transcendental challenge, where everyone can and should become brahmanas, persons who are compromised for the rest of the life to serve the truth. Even if one has to die for it, what is the problem, one has to die for something anyway, so better to die for the truth instead of dying for a lie. May there be men and women all around the earth, where they can sit down together and grow in the task of leading the temples and be spiritual masters. Those who want to grow and learn to love are welcome. They can come to participate, sing, dance and progress.
What are we doing here? What is the Eco Truly Ashram, this magnificent and merciful yoga planetarium that is here right in front of our eyes and that we are inaugurating today? This is a place where to give our efforts to work, to learn to be servants of all Peru, because this is so nice that not only from Peru they will come with television and tourist cameras. You will make of these destinations of Vedic wisdom, spiritual refuges, excellent yoga monasteries, clean and attentive, where people can be attended. As they say: "An invited to your house, you should see him as Narayana in person who has come."
One must not be lazy, but a worker so that this can be managed. Mother Mahamrita has done a great job with her stained glass windows, almost one day for each window or something like that, and when you look at them, there is not one place on the glass that has not love. She made everything with love and she made everything because she wanted to. Because the devotees did not pay her to do this, and in the same way many devotees make super services because they want. This is spiritual energy, it is a mystery. One who is cooking, is cooking because he wants in order to please the devotees, an thus, successively, everything has to be perfect. Just like a driver; he has to be perfect, otherwise you don't want to get into the car. The surgeon has to be perfect to make surgery. The entire world expects the maximum perfection. If he wouldn't like to make any efforts, nobody would like him to make his job, but he turns out to be a quack-doctor.
In this world there are many jobs that require perfection. Then how is it possible that the devotional service, the attention to the Vaisnavas and the visitors would not be perfect? And always remember that perfection means what you can, what is within your capacity, by the will of the pure purpose, of the pure intentions. I do not demand anything, I do not expect anything perfect from others, but I hope and I wish to never make others sad, to sacrifice myself for the good of the others. This is a refuge, this is our work.
Like here with the help of everyone, the devotees manage this, like here in Peru, that these Eco Trulys are a refuge. For me it does not matter its architecture, neither its constructions; what is important to me are all of you who are going to make of this a refuge. Otherwise this is just a competition in the world of architecture with some nice buildings. No. We want to compete against the illusion with a place that is so nice that people want to get out or maya, become vegetarians. All the devotees, who have come, have come to give us enthusiasm. If the service to the Vaisnavas is the best, it would be at the trulys in association with the devotees. If you go to Peru, please do not miss it.
Well, these words I direct to you with the wish that you all become brahmanas, all of you spiritual masters. Once Srila Sridhar Maharaja said that a spiritual master means someone who has accepted for the rest of his life to be involved with the problems of the most neophyte of the neophytes. Because they recently have come out of all the roles in this material world, and therefore it is like this, he splatters. Or rather, one almost has to change his napkins. As a matter of fact, one has to make everything in this world; one has to suffer to make better what pleases Krishna. This is spiritual life. One who is disposed to this is a great soul. He is our guide, our example and our guardian. He is the one by whose inspiration we are disposed to make anything. A real refuge.
Many devotees have dedicated energy to the temples, and this temple in particular, and meditating on this, to not leave our Deity, we have decided to have kirtans 24 hours, in order that the transcendental sound in the temple of Radha Damodar never will stop. To maintain a program like this, surely will not be easy, but we will make it to protect our Deities. And the devotees have the Holy Name all the day, and for this service all the devotees of Lima should spend or dedicate 24 hours a month of service.
Always your well-wisher,
B.A. Paramadvaiti Swami
